Trained as a physicist at the University of Warsaw and the University of California, San Diego, Aleksandra Walczak was a Princeton Center for Theoretical Science post-doctoral fellow before moving to Paris as CNRS researcher. She has worked on information transmission in gene regulatory networks, the effects of selection on population genealogies, collective behavior of bird flocks and statistical descriptions of the immune system.
