Personal Insurance

The meeting organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or damage of property belonging to meeting participants, either during, or as a result of the meeting. Please check the validity of your own insurance.

Visa requirements

Some participants may require a visa to travel to Spain. Participants are requested to check with the Spanish consulate or diplomatic mission in their home country. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a Visa with no commitment from the organizers to provide any financial support.

Please note that the average time for obtaining a visa can be from two to six weeks from the date of application. The cost of visas varies depending on the intended length of stay, etc.​

Visa Invitation Letters

Official letters of invitation designed to help overcome administrative difficulties in certain countries can be sent to participants by the Secretariat. Should you require an invitation please contact us​.​

It must be understood that such letters do not represent a commitment on the part of the Organizing Committee or Meeting Organizer to provide any financial assistance. If you require an original letter, it is recommended that you send your request 3 months in advance to account for delivery by post and administrative time.

Sponsorship & Exhibition

Climate

The climate of Barcelona is continental Mediterranean, September is a good time to go, most of the time it sunny with some cloud during the month of September.

The average maximum temperature in Barcelona in September is 71°F/22°C and the average minimum temperature is 57°F/14°C.

How to get to Barcelona

By plane, car or train… even by boat! You can get to Barcelona by any means of transport. Here’s some information about all the available options to help you decide which type of transport suits you best.


Airports Barcelona Airport, El Prat, is located just 16km outside the city. GironaAirport, north of the city, and Reus, to the south, are a little over an hour away. Lleida Airport, to the west, is just over two hours away.
Arriving by train

Arriving by train Barcelona has direct connections with different parts of Europe and throughout Spain, as well as a comprehensive regional and suburban rail network.
Arriving by car

Arriving by car The city has excellent road links and you can get to all parts of the city conveniently using the motorway and road network.
Arriving by bus

Arriving by bus You can get to Barcelona by bus from Europe, North Africa and the rest of Spain. The main bus station is the centrally located Barcelona Nord.
Arriving by boat

Arriving by boat Barcelona is the Mediterranean’s leading cruise harbour with nine passenger terminals, seven for cruises and four for ferries.
